Can a survey result be sent to an email that is entered in a survey question by the respondent? | XM Community

HI! I am wondering if this is possible. I currently have a survey that I have set up via workflow to email me each time there is a new response. I want to keep my survey that way.

However, I want to add a question in the survey where a student can enter in the email of their TA. The survey results would then send to me AND to the email they enter in that question. Is this possible?

Basically, can I configure a workflow where the response gets sent to a unique email address that is entered into a question.

Let me know! Thank you so much!

Yes, you should be able to set up a workflow with an email task, and pipe in that value entered in that question into the “To:” field.

If you’re building a contact field or question where someone will enter their email, you can setup a workflow as InessaG mentioned, with an email task. In the ‘to’ field, you will pipe in the question by selecting the {a} and finding the question you’re grabbing the email address from.

Would I make a new workflow or could I add it to my existing workflow where it emails me each time a response is recieved?

You can add multiple tasks to your workflows, so I guess you can add to an existing one.
