can't copy blocks from my Cambridge survey into different survey collaboration owned by researcher in another university | XM Community

Hello,

I have been invited to collaborate to a Qualtrics survey owned by a different institution from mine, but to avoid any risk of damaging their original collaborative survey, I made a copy and added all my blocks in this copy. Now, the collaborator wants me to implement my blocks directly in the original and I thought I could import the blocks of my survey into the original by adding them in the block library. However, when I go to the original collaboration survey and click insert block from library, my personal library doesn’t even show, only the Qualtrics public ones. What is the best way to paste my blocks into the original survey project please?

Hi @lisi1997,

Qualtrics doesn't seem to allow you to directly import blocks from your personal library into the collaborator's survey, you might need to take a different approach.

Export and Import Blocks Manually:

  • In your personal survey, export the blocks you want to share.
  • Merge the both personal survey and Collaborator survey. Send this .qsf file to the collaborator.
  • The collaborator can then import the blocks into their survey from the .qsf file.

Thank you!
