Can you design custom emails in Qualtrics? | XM Community

Hello everyone! I am looking for a solution to an issue I am facing and hope that someone can potentially point me in the right direction. I currently use MailChimp to distribute my Qualtrics surveys. Doing so forces me to use an anonymous link. In my MailChimp audience, I have prominent demographic information I want to carry over into my survey data, but this is not possible the way I do it now. I simply use MailChimp to design emails to my clients liking.

Given this, is there a way to design a custom email in Qualtrics when you distribute via email? If so, I will be able to use embedded data and carry those demographics over instead of having to ask them on every project. Any help on this would be great! 

We use Qualtrics to send the emails and design them in a diffrent system then copy the html over and paste this into Qualtrics - I find this works pretty well, Qualtrics can then send out the surveys and manage the reminders etc. 

 

We have used a set up like what you are describing where we passed a unique ID via the link to enable us to capture demographics of the respondents.

So someone with more creative skill than I have designs the email in another system and exports the html and images, I then load the images into the Qualtrics library, then paste in the html - to make it quicker I give them the unsubscribe link and survey link. 

 

I paste in the html in the email design page (under distribution for my project), link the images and send. It works well for us, we send about 3,000 surveys a week to our customer base and no issues with the email quality. 

You can save the email into Qualtrics and re-use it ongoing. 

@BradleyHoush You can use personalized email links in Mailchimp. Upload your mailing list to Qualtrics, create the personal links and use them inside your mailchimp templates.
