Create 3 Group of participants | XM Community

Hi, I am currently preparing for a survey in which I aim to categorize study participants into 3 groups and collect their contact emails. (To provide some context, participants who have completed the baseline survey will be randomly assigned to one of the three groups). My goal is to recruit a total of 75 participants, ensuring that each group consists of 25 individuals. Once the groups are created, each will receive a separate survey via email.

How can I accomplish this?

Thanks in advance!

A lot depends on the level of automation you want to put in place, put basically to create your 3 groups in your base survey you would use a randomizer on an ED field.

See this page : https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/survey-flow/standard-elements/randomizer/#UsingTheRandomizerWithOtherElements

Hi @Jdevkota You can use the following set up.

STEP 1: Create a block of baseline questions after which you will assign the respondents different categories. Refer below image.

After your baseline block, add a randomizer with 3 embedded data in it (name them according to your requirement). This will assign a category randomly to your respondent Don’t forget to keep the randomizer value as ‘1’ and check the ‘evenly present elements’ box.

STEP 2: Create 3 Quotas. Refer below image.

Each quota will have a logic saying ‘increment the quota by count one if the following condition has been met’, this embedded data is assigned to the respondent from the STEP 1. Set the Quota value has 25 (highlighted in blue circle).
NOTE: Repeat this exact step to create two more quotas i.e., category_2 and category_3.
You can decide what has to be done once the quota has been filled. Currently in the above image it has been set to ‘End of Survey’.

STEP 3: Final step. Refer below image.

Create one more randomizer with 3 branch logics in it. Each branch will direct the respondent to the appropriate question block according to the category assigned to him/her in the previous steps. This is will also keep a check that the quota of 25 has been not been met. If the quota has been met, the survey will end for that respondent.
