Different locations/IP addressses with participant surveys | XM Community

Hello, I am using Qualtrics to screen for participants for an interview, however their IP address and location are in a completely different country and location from their demographic form or from the location they report being in during the time of the interview. Can anyone tell me why this is? Is this due to a VPN or am I dealing with false respondents or both? Or is there a really good reason for this?

@Jason Spees It’s very likely VPN or some kind of proxy server that route their internet through a different server.


Hi there, that’s what I was thinking. Does that indicate a false respondent? What can I assume by knowing this?
