Distributing weekly survey with individual link | XM Community

Hi!

I have a survey that I would like to send to my participants every week, for 8 consecutive weeks. I have a contact list with all the participants. However, they started on different days, so the survey will not be sent to all of them on the same day. Furthermore, I need to be able to see which participant answered what, which is possible if I use individual links, right?

I see that I can create an email distribution and send it to a selected person or persons from my contact list through the Distributions > Email tab, but how can I automate the process of sending it for 8 consecutive weeks? It seems like the Survey Director would be an option, but it seems like that only works with anonymous links?

Thanks in advance!

We can use email distribute directory task to send the survey once responded. Append the week number in the survey link to increment it in the next survey and check in the workflow task if it is not 8 then only run the email task. Using this method will create 8 responses for each respondent in the data analysis tab.

Hi, thanks for the response!

However, I’m still a bit unsure what to do exactly. If sending out the survey is triggered by the participants responding, do I first have to send it to them one time in order for this to work? Also, how do I append the week number in the survey link? And how can I make sure that this is different for each participant?

Thanks in advance.

Yes we need to distribute it first time. This page will help you understand on how to add parameter to survey link url. We will read this week parameter in the survey and increment it by one using Math operation and use it again in next distribution.
