Downloading data from randomized items in a specific way | XM Community

Hi everyone! I need some help with this one. I got data from a survey in which participants rated 36 items presented in a random order (each one was created as a block).

Now I would like to know if there is a way to download the data so that I only get the responses to the first X number of items that the participants viewed. I know there is an option called "Export viewing order data for randomized surveys", however this has not been useful for me, as I need to calculate a general index that expresses the mean of the first half of the items that each participant responded to.

Thanks for reading! I appreciate any suggestion.

One of the way is to do this outside Qualtrics. Export the data with randomized column (export viewing order checked). Split this column in different columns using data to column feature of excel. Now using these new columns create a formula which will give the scores of the respective block in a new columns. Use these new columns to calculate score for first x blocks.
