Dynamic Survey Response Options: Tailoring Choices Based on Individual Respondents' Preferences | XM Community

Hi,

I'm designing a set of surveys for a longitudinal study in Qualtrics. Starting from the second survey, I intend to include a question with response options based on certain aspects that people listed in the first survey. I need the three response options to vary depending on each individual responder. How can I program the question to display different response options for each participant? So far, the only solution I've found is creating a separate survey for each participant in the library, then linking the main survey as reference surveys, conditioning the presentation of the reference survey based on the participant's ID. The issue is, I have 600 participants, and going through this manual process for each one might lead to errors. Is there a simpler way to do this? There must be a way to link the response options to a database or directory that connects to the survey.

I wonder the same thing - have you sorted it out?

One potential solution I thought of is writing a script and creating surveys via Qualtrics API. But I am still waiting to get API access.
