Email Address for Trigger based on Question Response

I am creating an intake form for faculty requesting grant writing help from our office. Their response will be routed to different grant writers depending on the department the respondent chooses from a drop down list. I am uncertain how to accomplish this. I understand how to set up an email trigger and how to embed piped text. But how do I match the email address I want to use with each possible response in the dropdown list?

You could either setup multiple branches to set an embedded to the appropriate email address value based on their response or create a workflow with conditions doing the same.

@Chris_Bowling,

You could make the the drop-down a drill-down where the second drop-down is the email address.  Then pipe the email into your trigger.

If you’re interested, I have a function ddAutoComplete that would automatically select and hide the email drop-down.
