Excel Extension using Organization Microsoft 365 Account | XM Community

Hello,

We would like to connect our organization's Microsoft 365 account to use the Excel Extension in Qualtrics. While the connection setup looks straightforward, the documentation doesn’t clearly explain how the integration controls access to the individual user account within our organization’s Microsoft 365 account.

It also mentions the option to connect to an individual M365 account, but this is not something we would want to do. We would like the user to use the organization’s M365 account only.

To put it another way, everyone in our organization has an individual M365 account within our main M365 org account. If we set the connection, how does Qualtrics know that the Excel workflow task owned by John Smith needs to send the data to John Smith’s M365 account under our M365 org account?

Thank you,

Jody

When one wants to setup a Excel task, it asks for login so that everything is scoped inside the individual’s M365 account.

Thank you Ahmed responding. If I understand correctly, it sounds like once our Org’s M365 Account is linked to Qualtrics, when the user go and setup the Excel Task, they will be asked to login using their account under our Org M365 account. Is this correct?

Our M365 Admin is hesitant to connect the system since we don’t have a test instance of Qualtrics to validate what will happen. Hence I don’t have a way to test.

Thanks,

Jody
