How can I link sample information to responses? | XM Community
Skip to main content

I have two distinct populations (A- has an integration, B- has no integration) that I surveyed the same survey.

I broke A and B out in the sample creator.

Response fields do not include this information, even in the embedded data.

This is a need into perpetuity for us- how can I easily link sample information to response data?

Group A feels xxx Group B feels yyy

That’s what I need to do.

You could maybe try exporting your survey responses and adding necessary fields using VLOOKUP in Excel. Then, you can reimport the new data source into Qualtrics, so you can use that new data source to create reports/dashboards as needed.

@ash123 yea, if Qualtrics doesn’t have this functionality, Im going to have to- looking to avoid doing that as it’s going to be a ton of work as our process for this grows.

Guess if I don’t get an in-product answer I’ll just have to reevaluate using the sample tool but shoot it seemed like it would work so perfect if not for just leaving that data disconnected from responses!

@GregD I’m afraid you have to manually manipulate the already collected data. With future project, make sure you tag the contact with a embedded data to identify group A & B, then you can pull those in survey embedded data (i.e you have to make command to the system that you want to save this infomation)
Hope this helps
