I’m a total noob with Qualtrics and I’m starting data analysis for my survey now. For now, I just want some descriptive statistics (mean age, SD) for my sample but for age I used a text entry question and apparently you cannot use the statistics visualization functions in the results section with these type of questions. Could someone let me know how I can get these statistics with these questions?

Hi,
You should be able to run descriptive statistics on a text entry question if it has the right response requirements. Go to your survey editor and check the question. If the validation settings do not match the screen shot below, change them to match and republish your survey, then trying running your analysis again.
