I need the same questions answered multiple times for registering animals | XM Community

Good Morning,

I am attempting to convert a paper enrollment form into a Qualtrics survey. To prevent cheating, we require our 4-H poultry project participants to register their birds before check-in. I have my survey divided into three blocks: personal contact info for the member, bird information for identification at check-in, and a finish and sign.

I have a loop and merger set on the second block with a yes or no question at the end of the block, and a page break in between,  yes is set in the workflow to trigger a return to the beginning of the block and refill the answers, no is supposed to send them to the finish and sign block and ending the survey.

it feels like I've tried every configuration, Skip logic on No, branch to blocks in survey flow, both, neither. every time I get two chances to fill in new info, and the next is already filled with my first two answers.

I was able to get help and an operational survey in Google Docs, but not everyone has a Gmail, and I won't make them acquire one to be in poultry. I am very much hoping I can get this made here, as my faith in this product wanes with each interaction. Thank you for your assistance.

Hi!

I would suggest copying the second block so you have two versions of the second block. I don’t believe it is possible for a person to fill out the same Q# twice. If you create a second “version” of the second block on yes - you can branch them to that block and it will allow them to refill it out while saving the first fill out

If I am misunderstanding the intended function, let me know!

Hi,

You can set 2 embedded variables in the start e.g Entry1=1, Entry2=1 and apply branch logic so Block 1 will show if Entry=1 and 2 will show if Entry2=1. After respective block e.g Block 1 set value of Entry1=0, same after block 3 put Entry 2=0. This way once they go back, they will not see the block they have already answered.

Make sure you have info question in the start where you can skip respondents to fill in new details and it should not execute the initial values again.

If I understand correctly, this is what you need to do

I have copied the block in the survey edit and flow multiple times, but it only gives me 2. As well as answers are still there, and when it loops back.

I followed this and found that the block does not open in the preview at all.
