Dear all,

I am new to using Qualtrics products. I’m a student preparing to create a survey for my research. The survey aims to evaluate how informal and formal relationships in academia can influence the number of papers a researcher publishes.

For each researcher participating in the survey, I need to present a list of their current or previous co-authors, and then ask specific questions about those co-authors. For example, if the respondent is Mark White and one of his co-authors is Anthony Blue, I would like to ask a question such as, "How long did you collaborate with Anthony Blue?"

Is it possible in Qualtrics to upload a CSV file containing the names of respondents and their respective co-authors, and then use this data to create personalized questions for each respondent based on their co-authors?

I think the Supplemental Data Source feature could be interesting:  https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/sds/supplemental-data-sources-basic-overview/

It’s similar to the V Lookup function in Excel.
