Manual Verify Responses - Trigger Email | XM Community

Hi Everyone

Hope you’re well.

I am using a survey as a form, all is working as expected.

Once we’ve captured data, we have a process of manual verification – the forms intention is to capture a request to change data published on a website.

For example, a customer could see RED on our website, but this is incorrect, and should be BLUE, hence the form.

Once the data has been reviewed, and if indeed a change is needed, how could someone internal log into the survey (front-end), find the submission, change the data, that would then trigger an email that informs the customer their request has been approved.

For example, could the survey URL (with embedded data) open a hidden window that asks for a Response ID to locate the result, the change is made, than then triggers an email, and the data in ‘Data & Analysis’ updated accordingly.

Hope you can help!

Thanks :)

If I am understanding correctly and the person knows the response id and has made the necessary updates to the data and analysis manually. You can create a survey which asks for the response id and in the back end you can update an embedded data in the response like the email is triggered via this API workflow and then also send an email by creating workflow and checking the response updated via Qualtrics API instead of new responses and below it include the email task to send email.

Hope it helps!

Thanks for getting back to me, but this is over my level of knowledge unfortunately.

If the data needing to be reviewed was populated in a google doc, could a change in a google doc field update Qualtrics raw data, and trigger a  Qualtrics email?

Thanks :)

Unfortunately, Qualtrics doesn’t have a google doc event to check the change. You would need to trigger the JSON event URL on change but I wouldn’t recommend going that route as it could be complex.

Hope it helps!
