Hi All,

 

I was wondering if it’s possible to establish a master data within Qualtrics that can automatically populate data into future surveys? 

Let me illustrate with an example: suppose we create a survey form for profiling customer data. This data will be entered manually by our team, not embedded from Salesforce or any other platform. Each customer would have one record.

Then, we create another survey form to input data (again by ourselves) gathered during meetings and interviews with these customers (B2B). There may be multiple entries for each customer. 

Instead of entering profiling information every time, the idea is to select the customer's name/account number from a dropdown menu and have all the information from the other form automatically populated. 

 

Could you please advise if this is feasible and provide guidance on where to find documentation specifying how exactly to set up such a project?

You could potentially set up a workflow to export the survey data as metadata fields that are saved to your customer profiles in your Global Directory. You can always pull O-data as metadata into new surveys. Are you trying to have this data populate in Data & Analysis or on the dashbaords/ If you are looking to display on dashboards and reports, I recomend you jsut simply pull the data in as an additional datasource in your dashbaord settings. If looking to set up as part of a client profile, I would recommend converting to metadata fields that can be attached to the profile. You can potentially use the extract responses from survey and basic transform options to accomplish this task if necessary .
