Measuring intention to share (on social media) | XM Community

Hi everyone,
I’m currently designing a research study and would greatly appreciate your expertise!

I am designing intervention for a social cause and need a real world outcome as a dependent measure, e.g. social media share. I’m using Qualtrics for a survey and at the later part of the survey, I am planning to ask participants to post on social media (with an option to decline) maintaining their anonymity on Qualtrics platform.

My question is that is there any option to do so through Qualtrics and more importantly count the number of participants who share it on social media (so that I can compare effectiveness of intervention across control vs intervention conditions).

Thanks in advance for your time and support!

After asking participants to share a post on social media, add a follow-up question asking them to indicate if they shared it. You can use a binary “Yes” or “No” response or a more detailed scale if you want to capture their level of engagement or reason for not sharing.

Hi @Aggarwal thanks, that’s stated preference and would be very easy to do.
I want to know if there is a way to measue the real outcome!
