Need assistance with attention checks | XM Community

Dear all,

I have added 3 attention check questions into a survey, and I want to make sure that the participants are taken out of the survey if they fail two or more of these attention check questions.

I have tried to use the branch and embed function, but I am doing something wrong as it is not working. I am new to Qualtrics, so it is taking me a while.

I would appreciate it if anyone can help me regarding this.

Many thanks and kind regards,
Suchika Siotia

@Suchi You can make 2 Text/Graphic question that alert the respondent of the failed attention checks, gonna redirect them to the end of survey. Set them up like this:

  1. Place them directly after attention check 2 and 3.
  2. Set the display logic to show them if the answers are wrong on 2/3 previous attention check.
  3. Set skip logic to the End of Survey.

So if the respondent failed 2/3 check they gonna get the alert. Once the alert showed up, they can’t advance, they gonna get kicked out.

Try it out and let me know if it helps.

@Suchi I am assuming that you have three questions inside one block in that way branch logic will not work. Please make three separate blocks for all three questions and then you can apply branch logic as per the below SS. Hope in that way it'll help.
