New feature idas for extracting Raw Data / a Form of Raw Data | XM Community

When extracting raw data in Qualtrics, each choice of a question is typically represented in separate columns. In other words, each question has its own column, and different choices are displayed within each respondent's cell. You are suggesting an alternative raw data extraction method where all the choices of the same question are displayed within a single column, rather than having separate columns for each choice. Additionally, you mentioned that the current approach of generating columns for each loop and loop option is inefficient.

While there might be reasons for the current design choices in Qualtrics, you believe that having the option to extract raw data in the manner you described would greatly enhance the efficiency of utilizing the product. You kindly requested information on whether such a feature currently exists.

This may be how you have set up the question type in the survey.  I haven’t experienced the selections made by respondents exporting into different columns myself. The only time I have experienced a new column is when you add ‘other’ and allow respondents to add additional text to describe this.
