Piping in free text to second survey? | XM Community

I’m sort of pessimistic if I can do this, but I’m hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. I have a survey where I was collecting responses from locations, to use as question choices in a second survey. For example, if I have a free text field that has Response1, Response2, Response3 as answers, I’d like my second survey to have

  1. Response1
  2. Response2
  3. Response3

As a question format. There was no embedded data block in the first survey before it went out.

My question is, since I inherited this survey and its responses, is there any way to pipe in that data from the first survey to automate this somewhat? If not, is there an import function I could use to at least build new surveys from a CSV or something similar? The alternative is building 75 new surveys based on the responses, which I’m trying to avoid but may not have a way around. Thanks so much!

You can export the typed responses from the first survey to a csv, then use the csv to create or update a contact list.  Then distribute the second survey using the contact list and pull in the survey 1 responses as embedded data from the list.
