I'm looking to create a question that allows survey takers to type in the name of a city of their choosing and have the name show up as they're typing in a drop-down box for easy selection. How would I go about doing that on the free version of Qualtrics?
Please also address how I can have survey takers type in and select more than once city on that exact question. Looking to have survey takers type in and select a maximum of 5 pre populated cities.
Is there a limit on the amount of pre populated cities I can have? I understand there may be a character count maximum that may easily be exceeded for something like this, should one exist.
You need to use a text entry question and configure the autocomplete feature with a static list of city names. Not sure whether it is available with the free version of Qualtrics.
If this is not available in your license, then you will have to use javascript to do so.
Mishraji - this is exactly what I was thinking of. Looks like I do in fact need a paid version of Qualtrics to access this feature. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
For those that have a similar need, check out this Qualtrics support article:

TomG and/or Mishraji - what would the javascript be to reach this goal and where on the Qualtrics page would it be typed?
JP1 - it is already available on the community. Below are a few links to it:
