I have been noticing the issue described below for years but recently concluded that this was perhaps not how it is supposed to work.

When I add a question to my survey, in this case of type Side by Side, it initially has a nice interface, as seen here:

When I deselect the question by clicking outside of it, this interface disappears, which I can understand as it is not selected for editing anymore:

However, when I then reselect the question, I would expect the original editing interface to return, but instead, only a very simple interface is applied, and options that exist in the original interface, such as for adding columns, are missing:

Does anyone know what could cause this? There’s an error message in the console.

I have tried different browsers, cleared the cache, and disabled all extensions.
