Question Score in Email Response Summary | XM Community

Hello,

I’d like to create a survey that upon completion emails to the respondent with not only the overall score, but with a score for each question. For my test survey I have set it up with scoring and throughout the survey and at the end it tells the respondent what questions are correct, incorrect, and what the overall score is. However, when the survey is completed and my workflow sends an email out, the response summary shows the overall score and the chosen answers to each question, but does not say if a chosen answer for each question was correct/incorrect like it does as the respondent completes the survey.

Is there an option I am missing in my workflow? Can I get around this by using piped text instead of the response summary (I don’t see any scoring options in the piped text menu of the email body)?

Thanks in advance.

@EvanP No, you’re not missing anything, it’s just how Scoring Summary works. Workflow doesnt offer that fancy premade stuff so you have to make it by your self

  • The right answer can be fixed text
  • Respondent’s choices can be piped in
  • You have to make embedded data version of the score to use it in email body

@Nam Nguyen Thanks for the input. I’ve tried that, but here’s the interesting wrinkle - I would like question randomization on this survey. So, even though there are 10 overall questions for instance, I would only like to respondents to answer 5 random questions. For the Response Summary this is no problem because it will show only the questions that were responded to. However, if I’m using piped text for the questions in the email body, I can’t specify what the question text/correct answer/incorrect answer is because the respondent only answered a portion of the overall questions.

Any recommendations?
