Hello, I am doing an experiment in Qualtrics and my independent variable is physical vs. digital product and my dependent variable is willingness to pay for the product. I also have a mediator, moderator and a covariate. With Qualtrics, I want to randomly show to respondents either the physical product or the digital product and the rest of the questions are the same for both of the 2 conditions. I want the respondents to be evenly distributed between the 2 conditions (physical vs. digital).
I read that I can use the Randomizer to do this but when I only use the Randomizer option and I download the data, I do not see to which condition which respondent was assigned to. (Please see picture 1).
After that, I did a new experiment but this time, I used the Randomizer, 2 Embedded data sections for the 2 conditions (physical vs. digital product), and 2 branches for what the people with physical product will see and what the people with digital product will see. When I downloaded the data using this option, I see a column to which condition the respondent was assigned to. However, I do not know whether this is the right way in which I have to do the action for randomization in Qualtrics in order to see which respondent was assigned to which condition. Is this the correct way or not?
Also, when I do the Randomizer, 2 Embedded data sections, and the 2 Branches situation, the same blocks that I added in the 2 branches (willingness to pay, psychological ownership, technological savviness, manipulation check, preference, and demographics) are still at the end of my experiment. Do I have to delete them, so that they are not shown again to the participants after they have been shown to them when the participants were going through the 2 branches paths? When I try with the preview option, I do not see the questions again (those that are below the “End of survey”) but I am not sure whether the respondents can see them in any way. (Please see pictures 2 and 3).
