Dear Community,
I have added a randomizer element and under that I have four group elements (A,B,C,D) with each of them having a single block and embedded data. The issue is, when I want to edit the counts for groups (accessed through the edit count button on randomizer element), I do not see the group names. It just says "group" for all four groups so if I edit the count for one of them, I do not know which group's count I am actually editing (although I assume that this is done in the order of placement under the randomizer element).
Any help would be appreciated!
errenos I believe you are probably using the "group" blue sub folder under the randomizer in order to keep everything nice and tidy and be able to have embedded data points. The unfortunate thing is that for the labels of the randomize elements, qualtrics takes the label of each block. However, in your case your labels would be "Group: xxxxxx". But qualtrics cannot read the colon, so it just stops at "group" and that is why each condition says group.
So, if you can do without the "Group" folder, you will then have the labels for each block. However, if you cannot, I would say with a high degree of certainty that it displays them in the order in which they are under the randomizer. However, to confirm what I would do is test the survey once, make a note of which condition you are assigned to, then go see which group has that 1 test in it (all others should be 0). Reset the count, and do this again until you have been placed in all four conditions. I'd bet good money that they are in order they are displayed as I just tested it using blocks without a grouping element and that is what I found. I even moved the order of the blocks within the randomizer and then the order within the edit counts window also updated. See the two images below. In the foreground you see the edit count window and the background you can see the order of the randomized elements.
Hope this helps!
