Reference Survey - how it affects response count limit | XM Community

Hi,

Currently, I have several instruments (for ease of explaining, say 10 as the actual number is much higher) that I plan to use for an assessment. I made the deliberate decision to create a separate project for each instrument to make it easier to manage changes, such as adjusting the sequence of instruments or modifying individual scales. Initially, I intended to use survey redirection from one survey to the next (from survey 1 to 10), but I was informed that this would count as 10 responses instead of 1, affecting my response limit.

Therefore, it seems more efficient to create a single project with all the instruments placed as different blocks.

Qualtrics tech support suggested an alternative solution called a Reference Survey, where I copy instruments 2-10 into the library and then reference them in Project 1.

However, we are unsure if this method will still count as 1 response or as 10.

I conducted a small experiment. Essentially, data from instruments 2-10 are now part of Project 1. Does anyone know how is it counted ?

It will be a pity that Reference Survey, which is a nice clean and efficient feature well-suited to my complex needs, might be compromised by concerns over response count limitations.

I wish to seek some clarifications on this from the community please. thank you

Best Regards

BY

All the answers will be saved in your project 1 dataset, whether you have 1 or 10 reference surveys and it will count as 1 response.

thank you @vgayraud for your reply. this is a nice feature that will be very useful for my setup.
