Sending an Email after updating survey in the data and analysis section | XM Community

Hi,

I am trying to use Qualtrics so that the participant completes a survey and then a reviewer goes into the Data and Analysis section and approves their response.  What I would like to do is trigger an email to the participant with the reviewer’s response.  I attached a screenshot of what I would like to do.  Basically when the reviewer update Q3 and then clicks Review and Publish, the participant would get an email.  Does anyone know how I might go about doing this?  I am completely stymied.

@Shar1oo7 There’s a survey trigger I think can give you what you want

So the flow can go like this:

  1. The respondent finish survey, it trigger a workflow and send a review survey with that response result to reviewer
  2. The reviewer give their note through review survey and it send an API that update the response.
  3. The response updated via API workflow send an email to respondent include the reviewer’s note

I don’t think that works.  Here is what I tried to do… basically the workflow does not appear to ever process.  Any other thoughts on how I might be able to bring this to fruition

Did you update it through API or edit in Data&Analysis? The Trigger said specifically via API

Apologies for my ignorance, but how would they update through API… I would have to write an application, which is not exactly what I would like to do. Honestly, I would not even know how to get started with that.

I would really like it if they could just edit in data and Analysis and it would perform a trigger.

There’s no way to do that.

You can create a review survey for the reviewer and trigger update API with it. Just read my first response clearly. I planned out the steps for you.
