Skip Logic Question | XM Community

Hello everyone! I have a question as it pertains to skip logic. I came across a question we asked on a previous survey (before coming to Qualtrics) that used a specific logic. I am curious how, if at all, this logic would be implemented in Qualtrics. A mock questions is below:

Question 1: Do you like spending time outside?

  1. Yes, I love it. → Proceed to Q2
  2. Yes, I enjoy it a good amount. → Proceed to Q2
  3. No → Proceed to Q2, Then Skip to End/Q13
  4. Decline to answer → Proceed to Q2, Then Skip to End/Q13

For options 3 and 4, how would we build this logic into a Qualtrics survey? Does Qualtrics allow for this to be done? Anything helps. Thanks!

Create each question in blocks like below

In survey flow.

Add an element “branch”

and create the condition like below and put an end off survey or Q13 block in it.

Does the branch survey go at the end of the survey flow? I have the branch logic made and placed under Q1. I guess I am just a bit lost on how to hollow out those respondents who need to be sent to the end AFTER answering Q2. Thanks!

@BradleyHoush Survey Flow goes in the order that it see the elements. I’ve attached hopefully a clearer view for you how to set this up.

  1. Block Q1 and Q2 has no logic applied so everyone sees those two questions
  2. Branch if --- Q1 answers are either 3. or 4. that you described above
    1. If they fall into the branch then show them Q13
    2. After they see Q13 terminate and end the survey
  3. Everyone else who doesn’t fall into the branch goes to Block Q3 - Q12
  4. Then they get shown the last block that contains Q13
  5. Lastly the survey is ended

Thank you so much! That worked perfectly! Have a great weekend!
