Skipping a question without scoring penalty

Hi folks, I am trying to figure out how to allow a respondent to skip a question that is not relevant to them, without it having a negative impact on their Scoring.

For example, if my survey is 10 questions long, but only 8 of those questions are relevant to a given respondent, I’d like for them to be scored out of 8, instead of automatically scoring a 0 on two of those questions, resulting in a lower overall score than they actually deserve.

Thanks in advance for any help, let me know if anything here is not clear.

@AndrewC1988

Have you tried creating different scoring categories?

@Deepak How would that help?

You can create categories and disable this option.

Hope it helps!

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I already tried disabling that option and it doesn’t have the effect I’m looking for - skipped questions still score a “0” instead of not counting towards the total possible score.
