I have done some searching in the Community but am unable to find anything that’s proximal enough to my particular question, so thought I’d ask directly.
I have an extensive survey that’s fielded every year with participants coming from a variety of business functions providing inputs into basically an industry study. Think: HR, Business Development, Technology, Finance, etc.
Respondents in the Finance section are asked to provide a pretty extensive list of financial metrics; things like Total Revenue, Project-Related Expenses, Labor Costs, Assets by Class, Short & Long-term Liabilities, etc. The data entry for this section is extensive and is currently structured like a normal question/answer type with data being input into a field and captured on the back-end. Throughout the section there are a variety of calculations - Operating Income on Net Revenue, Total Labor Multiplier, etc - that manipulate a variety of submitted data points and present the results real-time so respondents can confirm the data they’re entering is accurate/reflective of their last year’s financial performance.
I want to explore changing the survey experience for these Financial section participants. I have been thinking about providing them a spreadsheet-like format where the questions are all listed so they values can be inputted in one screen/frame and submitted all together. A key benefit of this is to be able to see all the data entered into a single sheet to track and confirm prior to submitting. In addition, users would have the ability to see the results of all the calculations available based on the data submitted. If there’s not enough data to calculate one metric, it would be blank and you’d see that prior to submitting. OR if you fat-fingered an extra digit into your Revenue line, you’d see the result of that in your Operating Proft calc, etc.
Does XM offer a data entry solution LIKE what I’m describing? Thanks in advance for reading and any considered replies..!
