We currently have SSO set up and working correctly but we run into trouble when an email changes. Our emails consist of first/last names and if the last name changes we update the email. Once it’s updated, the SSO fails because the account no longer matches. 

 

How should we be handling this? Is there a way to link SSO based on employee ID instead?

I’m not sure if there’s a way to link based on ID instead. However, whenever we’re creating new users, we have to put a hashtag and the organization ID at the end of the email address in order for it to work. I’m wondering if that may be the issue? For example, I write emailaddress@email.com#organizationID for SSO to work.
