Hello everyone,

I hope some of you have faced similar challenges and can offer some good advice.

The thing is, I have the free version of Qualtrics as I'm a thesis student and don't have access through an institution or work, and it's too expensive for me to buy as an individual.

I've sent out my survey, and surprisingly, in just a few days, I'm about to reach the 500 responses included in the free version. Is there a way for me to resolve my situation? Can I export some of the responses and then delete them? Or will Qualtrics still count them towards the 500? And what actually happens when you hit the 500 responses? Does the link and QR code I've sent out stop working?

Hope someone can help.

@N_Ashrafi The responses are counted on the activity of using Qualtrics for collecting responses, not how many you have on the record so delete them won’t solve anything. Next time, set a quota.
For now, if you still want to use the remaining free responses in the future. You should close the project.
You can go to account setting → account usage to see exactly how many you have left.

Hope this helps

If this survey is for class purposes, you could maybe try reaching out to a professor to see if there are any resources or help/funding for students to get access to a paid account. Like @dxh212 said though, deleting the responses won’t reset the 500 response count that you already received.

Thank you very much for your response.

I see that it says 257/500. It appears that it does not count "some answers," could it be that it only counts the complete responses?

And the 500 responses, is that across all my three active surveys? Or is it per survey?

Yes, it shows any responses collected on the Recorded Responses page, except Preview DataTest Data, and Imported Responses. from all surveys.

@N_Ashrafi What @Shashi said is totally correct. Also, you might wanna check Incomplete survey responses rule in your survey setting to make sure your response count doesn’t go up suddenly if some how the timer end and it got recorded.
