Hi all,
I created a "Bucketing Variable" in Data & Analysis, called "Area" that groups stores in specific areas.
I would like to understand if I can use this field in Tickets. I tried but I didn't find this new variable in the dropdown menu. Is it possible? If yes, can you help me doing this?
I found this variable both in StatIQ and dasbhoard, but not in Tickets.
Thank you,
Livia
Hello, Livia_D This feature can only be used for dashboard reporting and stats IQ where you can map this value as a field. This field value is not available to be used in Ticketing.
As a workaround, you can make use of the branch if conditions and set up a similar structure to bucket values in a single embedded field which can be used everywhere in Qualtrics.

Hi Aanurag_QC ,
I've a question on bucket variables, if you can help me.
I'm trying to create a bucket variable based upon a "manual field text type", but this field is not available in bucket variable wizard dropdownlist. The field can be selected only if I create a "manual field tag type."
Can you help me understand why?
In the support page there is written "You can choose from all available survey questions, survey metadata, contact fields, or embedded data.".
Thanks,
Livia
Livia_D Have you created this embedded value in the survey flow or are you creating this embedded data in the data and analysis tab, If you create it in the survey flow then I am able to use it for bucketing. Manual fields created in the data and analysis tab allow bucketing for the tag type field. Can you please raise a ticket with the Qualtrics support team? Seems like a bug to me.
https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/43966#Comment_43966Hi Aanurag_QC , no I've created it in Data & Analysis so, if I correctly understood, it is not a bug but I can use it only if I create a tag field.
Since the survey is already running, if I add an embedded data in the survey flow it won't be populated retroactively. So I was thinking about different solutions as a bucket field or to input manually value to the new embedded data.
Thank you so much.
https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/43967#Comment_43967Hello Livia_D , Tags allows you to enter multiple separate tags information, similar to the way a multiple choice question can have multiple answers at once. Tag fields also have access to all the same visualizations as multiple choice questions with multiple answers.
So yes you can use tags instead of text field
