Adding matrix table as well as matrix table block values to get a sum score for each participant? | XM Community

Hi,

Please consider I`m a rookie with Qualtrics, although I looked around extensively before asking the question. My question is how can I make Qualtrics to add the matrix table (statement) as well as matrix table (statements) and block values together and get a sum score for each participant?

I have a matrix table with 13 statements and 10 scale points and 5 blocks (multiple choice) including 6 set of questionnaires, values are recoded and were set up under scoring. I have cut- off points for each of these sets (the matrix table and the blocks). My aim is to set these up so that in- between and across questionnaires participants scoring low are directed down one path and participants scoring high are directed down another.

Included a Matrix table screenshot just in case:

I did check, math operations, however it didn`t explain where do I have to type in the addition equation: $e{ something + something }, or how many times do I have type in this equation? For each set of questions or just once?

Also, math operations states that "Math Operations performed in the Survey Flow should be saved as Embedded Data. " Although, how can it be saved as embedded data?

Furthermore, math operations states that, "the results of a math operation can be displayed as part of the text in a survey question." - as well or thats the only way? Before, after, above or below the survey question?

Its a pretty basic problem, although I`m stuck...Thank you so much in advance, if anyone would be able to provide a quite elaborate help and kind of walk me through it.
