we get high volume responses for our open text questions - and it has been very cumbersome to read each comment and assign a theme ie. Technical issue,Positive comments etc.. Is there some way of taking the manual process away

Do you have Text iQ in your license? If not, it sounds like you may want to consider it.

Exporting to a Computer Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis (CAQDAS) software may be helpful as well. I'd recommend this if the org does any additional qualitative work, like interviews or focus groups.
If it is just about surveys only, it does sound like Text IQ is the way to go. There are no other qualtrics-native features which will assist you.

Thank you this is great, I guess Qualtrics does not have (CAQDAS) software as part of there product offerings, I think this might be more what I need in terms of functionality
