Dear all,
In my survey, I created two different blocks with the same 3 questions. In each block, I am presenting different videos in each trial by using Loop & Merge, and for each video, participants are answering the same 3 questions. Two of the questions are 1-7 Likert scale, and one of the is Multiple-choice question. I distributed my survey and finished the data collection.
In the results sections, I can see the descriptives of the responses for each video and questions separately.
However, I need to combine the results of the same question of every video and see the descriptives all together as a single question. In other words, instead of seeing the descriptives of Q1 for video 1, 2, 3… separately. I need to see the descriptive statistics of Q1 which was reported for every video as a combined result.
Is there a way to do that? Any suggestions will be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
In the "Data & Analysis" tab you have the option of creating a new field. Choose the concat option over there.

Thank you for the reply! I tried your suggestion I am combining the questions but in the Reports I can see them as texts, not descriptive statistics. Also, another problem about this is I can only combine up to 20 questions, but I have more to combine. Am I doing something wrong? This is what I ended up in the reports, and I can't change it to graph or any other visualization:
Let me give more detail about the questions. My questions are consists of 1-7 likert scale and multiple choice questions. For instance for the 1-7 likert scale questions, what I am aiming is to combine/gather the responds of all these 1-7 likert scale responds all together, as if it is a single questions. Therefore, I need to see a graph something like this:
I hope I am more clear now. I really appreciate your comments on this as well. Thank you for the effort.
Okay. I'm sorry I hadn't understood the question properly and you had to waste time. So, if I'm able to understand you correctly, what you are asking for this:
Q1: Likert; Q2: Likert; (Lets assume strongly agree to strongly disagree) Q3: MCQ
So your ouput variables are something like this:
SA_Q1: Number of times strongly agree was chosen for Q1
SD_Q1: Number of times strongly disagree was chosen for Q1
SA_Q2: Number of times strongly agree was chosen for Q2
If this is the case, then I suggest you look at the scoring section.
Create a variable for each of your response options. So, SA_Q1, SA_Q2 etc. Also, select the option which says that missing values will be zero
Then , for the SA_Q1 variable, give a score of 1 to Strongly Agree in the respective question and make everything either zero or blank.
I think this should do the trick. I don't use Loop and Merge a lot, so haven't seen its interactions with scoring.
