How can I show one image question for a specified duration? | XM Community

Hello everyone!

I am a new Qualtrics user and trying to build a survey which will examine the valence and arousal level of some pictures. But I have a problem that I couldn't find a solution.

I want to show participants pictures and then 4 questions about the picture that they had seen (e.g. did you feel calm or excited, which emotion did you have...). (All the pictures that I use will be from my library not from the internet with url). But I want every participant to see pictures 6 seconds only, not less nor more. After 6 seconds, pictures should disappear and 1st questions should be displayed. As far as I understood I need to use javascript but I don't know how to write or to find the code which is convenient for my experiment. If anyone knows and can help me I would be really thankful. Thank you in advance.
You don't necessarily need JavaScript. You can add a timing question to the same page as your image and auto advance after 6 seconds.

Hello @TomG,

Thank you so much for your answer. I could manage to build the survey as I wanted thanks to your answer.

Hello emregurbuz, just wondering if you had the solution to your problem? I would also like to do the same for "loading" images that I have, followed by a display of text.

https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/comment/8718#Comment_8718Can one use auto advance in the same page? I put the timer question between my first question and the second soon to be shown. However, I get an error in Display Logic that says it is incompatible with Timing questions.

Thank you!
