I am new to qualtics, so please excuse me, if this is common knowledge. I have a question with several answers which are grouped. The group title is shown in grey above each group of answers. How can I translate the group title? (It will not let me do that in the translate function)

That's quite an oversight. You should report it to Qualtrics Support so it can eventually be fixed.
In the meantime, create a MC question before your question (the question with grouped choices) where the choices are the group names, and translate it. Then hide it with display logic. Pipe the choice text from the MC question into your question as the group names (e.g., ${q://QID1/ChoiceDescription/1}). The group names will then be translated into the current language.
