I am trying to see if there is a way to collaborate library items such as Message Library items with co-workers. I was working on a project, and my co-worker was trying to distribute a survey instead, and realized that library items that I used do not show up from his end.

Hi JustinD ,You will want to make sure that your co-worker is part of your Group and that you are saving your message to the Group Library.
