Is there a way to link multiple surveys to one respondent using some form of ID?

I am new to using the Qualtrics platform and I was wondering if it is possible for responders to be 'profiled' in some way such that when they take multiple surveys, their responses are tied to the specific user. This way only one survey would need to have demographic questions and follow up surveys won't but since the surveys are tied to the same user, one could perform correlations across different surveys for the user. Thanks,

Yes you can, if your are distributing via email. In contact list add ExternalDataReference and ED variable for each survey and keep this variable same for each email in all surveys. Later on you can merge data refering this variable. You can also use email
