I would want the respondents to get real-time feedback by making a simple math operation based on response.
They would pick a number and a potential payoff would be automatically displayed.
They could adjust their responses and see what their total payoff would be.
Could someone help me?

If it is on the same page, which is what it seems, you'll have to use JavaScript to dynamically update the page. Qualtrics math operations `$e{ ... }` happen server side so only work if Qualtrics is sending a new page to the browser.
