Hello everyone,
I'm trying to improve my stat keeping for fielding performance of my qualtrics samples. I would like to embed a data variable that identifies the sample the respondent had completed their survey from.
I frequently subset my contact lists into samples and send out invitations/reminders to those samples. I know that the Distribution page summarizes responses and completes for each sample, but I would like to more finely analyze this through data output.
I know that Qualtrics keeps track of sample membership because you can use it as a condition when creating your samples. However, I don't see it as an option under the Survey Metadata.
Much appreciated if anyone can help me with this.
Best,
Terry
You can have a column 'SampleName' in contact list, which will have their respective sample names they are in. Now add same column name as an embedded data in survey and then you can see the sample name in the output
@TerryH,
You should submit a Product Idea to add an built-in embedded variable that contains the sample id (e.g., SampleID) that works like PanelID.
rondev Thanks for your suggestion. I assume your comment applies only if I know what sample each contact would be in ahead of time, but I should have been more clear in my question that I'm typically creating my samples within Qualtrics with both the randomizer and sample membership conditions. So my first sample would be a pre-test sample of, say, 100 randomly selected contact. My second sample might be a sample of 1000 randomly selected contacts with condition that they are not in the pre-test sample, and so on. I was hoping that I could embed or output a variable which tells me a particular complete was within, say, the pre-test sample or the second sample
TomG Good idea. I've submitted as a new product idea.
