Pre-populating answers from previous Quarter Survey | XM Community

I am working on migrating to Qualtrics from our current Excel based survey to rank our banking partner in different regions.

We take this Survey every Quarter with personal link for each user (Approximately 50 users, 14 questions and 5 regions).

One of the ask is to have new survey pre-populated with answers from last Quarter for each user so they can go through the survey , can see their answers from last Quarter and only have to update/change their ranking if needed and complete the survey.

I need to capture this Quarterly data so I can do some trend analysis including Quarter over Quarter changes etc.

What is the best way to do this in Quadratics. I looked at Retake Survey Link (https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/data-and-analysis-module/retake-survey-link/) but was not sure if that is the right way to do it or if there is better way to do it.

It is important that I capture the data set as new data set for each Quarter.

I appreciate any help in this regard.
Use a contact list with embedded data fields to store the data for each respondent. Update the data at the end of each survey with a contact trigger.
Thanks Tom for quick feedback.

Does this require creating embedded data fields for each question in the survey ?

That will be couple of hundred attributes.

Yes, you'll need to create fields for each question you want to pre-populate. However, it is easy to do. Save your Excel as a csv and upload it to create the contact list. Other than the basic contact fields, all the other columns will become embedded fields.

The more time consuming part will be mapping the questions back to your embedded fields in the contact trigger. It is easy to do, but a bit tedious.

First time using Qualtrics, I am very interested in creating the following as suggested:

Use a contact list with embedded data fields to store the data for each respondent. Update the data at the end of each survey with a contact trigger.

Is there a video somewhere on the interweb on how to do this?

@Blueyhighered There’s no video but you can follow these guide links
