Providing ability for respondent to add text to a multiple choice question
I have a multiple choice question in my survey where the choices are "Board of Directors", "Top Management", and "Other (please specify)". After the "Other (please specify)" choice, I want a text box to display to allow the respondent to add text. I know that I can add logic where if the respondent selects "Other (please specify)", then it will take them to a new descriptive text question, otherwise that question is skipped. But, is there a way to embed the ability to add text immediately after the respondent selects "Other (please specify)" without having to add another question with the skip logic? In another words, the text box would appear only when the respondent clicks on the "Other (please specify)" choice.
Thanks Shashi! This is exactly what I was looking for.
Hi @briguy
You can select the other choice and in the dropdown allow text entry. It is important to know that you have to capture that text entry in the survey flow as embedded data field.
