Reminders for incomplete surveys, when respondent has accessed the survey via anonymous link | XM Community
Skip to main content

Hi. I want to send a reminder to respondents who have not competed their survey. However, I am starting with the anonymous link. Can I ask participants for their email address at the start of the survey, and then use this for an email action to remind them to complete?
Something like:
Please provide your email address to be sent a personal link to return to your survey at any time:
How would I set this up via email actions?

This can be one of the solution.
After collecting email address in question one, add a web service in survey flow to add contact to a mailing list, with an embedded data 'isCompleted' value set as false.
Now, in the action create Add to XM directory and check Update recipient from survey response option, and update isCompleted value to true.
Keep a track on this mailing list, to check which respondent have not yet completed the survey using 'isCompleted' embedded data.

sounds complicated- anyone have any easier ideas?
also- I was wondering if there was a way they could stay anonymous - so the system could do this without us collecting the email

I also described some setup to achieve reminders for anonymous survey links here:
