I am trying to set a number for each participant and send the number to them in the thank you email. I have included the field in the contact list as 'Number' when I import the Excel list. I have also set the field 'Number' as embedded data in the survey.
However, when I am editing the end of test message, I cannot find 'Number' in the Embedded Data List. And even if I typed the piped text for the field 'Number', I can't see it in the sent email.
Can anyone help with this? Thanks!
Hi hrusem5 ,
I've never tried to do this so I don't know whether or not Qualtrics is designed to pipe text into an End of Survey Message or not, even though the menu is there. I use Embedded Data in all of my surveys, and tried to replicate the example if your screen shot, and came up with the same results: my list of Embedded Data Fields is empty here even though I have hundreds of them in my Directory.
You might contact Qualtrics support to confirm, but I have a feeling this is just an oversight in the editor interface in this context and Embedded data can't be piped into a message that is composed within an account Library.
Number isn't available in the message editor, because Qualtrics doesn't know which survey you will be using it for. You can use the regular format :
${e://Field/Number}and you'll see the results in the end of survey message.
