What is the impact of changing the expiry date on an ACTIVE survey (under options)? | XM Community

Hi, can anybody tell me what happens when you change an active survey's expiry date, after the link has been sent out and people are already responding?
Having researched here and the support, I'm worried that we will end up with a new survey link, but that doesn't seem user friendly since we've advertised the survey to thousands of people so if they use the original link it will have expired. I'm hoping I'm wrong!

I don't think that changing the expiration date under Survey Options will do anything to change the individual survey links themselves. But if an expiration date is already assigned in the Advanced Options under Compose Email, that may take priority over other expiration dates. You might try setting up a test distribution and doing this to see what happens; you can download the Distribution History before and after changing the expiration date in the Survey Options and see if it's changed for each member of the email list.
