Why is it that when people open my anonymous link it is as if they have already completed the survey

I am sending an anonymous link to friends to fill in my survey but the default completion message is the first thing that they face when they open the link. As if they have already completed my survey. "We thank you for your time spent taking this survey. Your response has been recorded." This is increasing my response numbers but obviously no survey was actually filled in. Thanks
