Site Intercept - Metrics Question | XM Community

Hi Everyone

Hope you’re well.

After some advice please.

I have a simple site intercept active that has no target, but does have some copy with a hyper link.

Am I right in thinking 49362 people have clicked the hyper link?

Thanks :)

Along with the click on hyperlink, it could also be if user just clicked on intercept and not on the link. Refer here on how the number is calculated.

Hope it helps!

I agree with @Deepak that “clicks” are anyone who have clicked on the intercept. “Impressions” would be anyone who has seen the intercept.

In my case, the intercept does not have a target, so a click would be someone who clicked the hyper link?

If there is no target area for an intercept, then there will be no clicks. This is because clicks are only incremented when a visitor interacts with a target or an embedded target.

Thanks for this, but why in the above image do I see clicks?

Thanks :)
