I am looking for advice on best practices for managing XM Directory, especially with the recent updates. We recently encountered an issue, and we tried to remedied the issue by restricting access, but in doing so, I unintentionally blocked my researchers from accessing what they needed. Thankfully, I was able to restore access.

I am considering a new approach; creating a global directory that everyone can access while leaving the default directory untouched. My idea is to limit visibility within the Global Directory so users won’t be able to see any email addresses unless they create their own directories.

If anyone has experience with this or any suggestions on best practices on managing directories, I’d be grateful for your input!
